Like Bread and Butter

10:35:00 PM

Prayer and Evangelization goes together, they stick with each other like bread and butter ( which I usually eat at breakfast here in Taize) or like salt and pepper (which  is never absent on our table every meal). Faith is cultivated through prayer and it is validated through evangelization. The FAITHFUL desires to be more intimate to God and the FAITHFUL brings God to others.

I am staying in Communaute de Taize where we gather in the Church three times a day to pray. The serenity and beauty of the place mesmerize me so much that I cannot help but Praise  God every time  It is like the trees, the breeze, the dew --- everything around me connives to envelope me with God's warm love that I cannot stop praying. I feel that God is so intimate and so near to me everyday I wake up. The moment I open our door in the morning, the freezing breeze awaken my senses and the magnificent view is inviting me to pray and to be in communion with God.

After two days of being overwhelmed with the beauty around me, I found myself dropping my pen and closing my journal.  Today God reminds me I cannot separate prayer from evangelization and vice versa. I now understand why Taize is a community, more than just a kind of PRAYER. I am not just here to be in communion with God but I am also here to share His glory to His people. This is what I am called to do -- My bread and Butter. I have roommates who travelled all the way from Netherlands and Australia to find peace and serenity, I am eating every meal with 35 Europeans who is seeking for something in their lives. I don't just come here to pray but I am here to continue the life that I am called to do.

Jesus is inviting us everyday to come to Him in prayer, to know Him more deeply, to build a more intimate relationship with Him. Everytime we respond to this sweet invitation, He is calling us to introduce Him to other people; to make His love tangible and real to others. WE cant say that we are faithful unless we will be able to share our faith to others. Being surrounded with people who came from diffrent country of different denomination and of different race who come to Taize to find peace andserenity in the midst of their extravagant, mobile and demanding lives. The world is in need of people who will make God's love tangible and real. people who will go beyond preaching but simply share the grace of faith in their lives.

Dear friends, the world needs YOU! If we wont go weary in our prayers and if we become bold in evangelizing others,  then I am certain that the world world will become a better place.

"Remain in me, as I remain in you. Just as a branch cannot bear fruits unless it remains on the vine, so neither can you unless you remain in me"- John 15:4

We have to remain in Him to bear fruit as much as when you remain in Him we  are to bear fruit

Bye for Now! I need to go for a walk with a girl from Poland to feed horses with apples! hahaha!!!

Be blessed and be a blessing!!!
